The Potters Cottage, created out of one of our stone-built workshops used formerly in the production of our world famous Ballydougan Pottery, is a cosy bright cottage which sleeps 2 persons. Its simplistic restoration and development into a small comfortable cottage with living room/kitchen with all mod cons, double bedroom with en-suite – shower (no bath), has given this old building a new lease of life.

Located in a corner of the cottage courtyard “The Potters Cottage” with large glass fronted doorway is bright and open. Inside a stylish fitted kitchen affords all the mod cons required to cook a romantic meal for two or prepare a long leisurely breakfast in bed…its your time…its your “home from home”….just relax and unwind. Formerly a “throwing room” for pottery it is fitting that now Beautiful pieces of Ballydougan Pottery adorn every surface and are there to be used and enjoyed. Cups, saucers, plates, serving dishes, jugs and bowls in the Bramley Apple range so synonymous with Ballydougan.

A comfortable sitting area, TV and a selection of glamorous magazines beckon.  Take time to browse through these and our Guest literature detailing “sights to see in the area” or “things to do” for the more active Guest!

In the bedroom there is a beautiful antique French Oak double bed dressed in crisp white linens. An antique wardrobe and dressing table complete the look of classic sophistication. Then into the en-suite with walk-in shower fluffy towels and everything one needs.

Designed to provide quality and comfort the Potters Cottage is open planned, has oil fired central heating, and is equipped and furnished for the most discerning visitor. Washing and laundry facilities are located in a separate "washday room" in the Courtyard.

Enjoy a late morning breakfast lounging on your own private furnished patio area overlooking the courtyard. Sip freshly brewed coffee, close your eyes and listen to the birds singing. Every last detail has been included; a welcome pack for that much needed cup of tea after your journey to Ballydougan, magazines and holiday information for you to browse through.

We think we have thought of everything to make your stay whatever you want it to be....Maid service, Champagne, Flowers, a Continental breakfast or Gourmet Dinner.....all can be arranged on request!!
