Wheat Loft Studio Apartment was once a fine old stone Wheat Barn. Now sympathetically and creatively restored, it is the ideal location for a romantic hide-away.. A perfect studio apartment for two people, you enter Wheat Loft having ascended an external staircase in the Pottery yard.

The original doorway remains and is only five feet (1.5 metres) in height. Once inside, this wonderful old grain store with its stone walls, spacious high vaulted ceilings and oak floors, offers a truly timeless ambience where you can only relax and indulge yourself.

Soft comfortable seating and antique furniture invite you to sit down, unwind and savour the peace and tranquillity.

In the kitchen area a wonderful Dinner and Tea service from the "Kilkenny Berry" range adorns the old dresser, while serpent serving plates, a jug and bowl or an elegant wine carafe and goblets grace the occasional tables. All around are glorious pots to enthuse even the most humble chef to want to create and serve sumptuous food. An electric hob, oven and grill, microwave, toaster, fridge with icebox, and other "mod cons" complete the cooking experience.

Designed to provide quality and comfort the apartment is open planned, has oil fired central heating, air conditioning and is equipped and furnished for the most discerning visitor.

And so to the bedroom....furnished with a traditional antique mahogany double bed, wardrobe and dressing table. Crisp white bed linens and a colourful chenille throw complete the scene. Comfort is the key...a good night's sleep is assured.

The bright cosy bathroom with WC, bath, over bath shower, and shaver point is simple yet stylish. The thoughtful addition of a hair-dryer, fragrant toiletries and generous fluffy white towels invite you to pamper yourself.

Washing and laundry facilities are located in a separate "washday room" in the Pottery Courtyard.

Enjoy a late morning breakfast lounging on your own private furnished patio area overlooking the courtyard. Sip freshly brewed coffee, close your eyes and listen to the silence.

Every last detail has been included; a welcome pack for that much needed cup of tea after your journey to Ballydougan, magazines and holiday information for you to browse through, even a copy of the local newspaper.
